Description: Accepting the values of others Dimensions 50×70 cm Project: Tolerance by Graphic stories “Tolerance is about our willingness to allow people to think, express and act even in ways that we do not agree with. Tolerance for everything different, for different thoughts or ideas, has as its goal the creative approach and progress, both individually and collectively. Tolerance is the springboard for a society free of bigotry, intolerance, racism, nationalism and all forms of discrimination and social inequality. It is at the same time the cornerstone of cultivating mutual respect and solidarity, cooperation and consensus and the antidote to marginalization and social exclusion.”
To be tolerant means that you accept other people’s opinions and preferences, even when they live in a way that you don’t agree with. Tolerance makes it possible for people to coexist peacefully. It is the basis for a fair society in which everyone can lead their lives as they wish.
